Learning From My Wagering Errors

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

1st to explain the reason I wrote this essay. I have been wagering on the net or at land-based casinos for many years. I have discovered, the addiction can take a hold of you and you won’t even notice it until you are broke. Particularly if you are on a winning run. I’ve gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and still on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It seems you are just having a blast until you decide to be aware of your defeats and the guilt sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It never works. Then you feel queasy in your belly and the harder you attempt the quicker you are deprived.

When you see that you are ahead, STAY on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, do not say to yourself, "well just maybe just one more" and again and again, believe me, this plan almost never ever operates. Say you’re betting on slot games, have a bankroll put aside before beginning your action. DO NOT go over that limit, no matter how captivating. If you actually win, put that in a different canister. Do not use your profits no matter what. Once you’ve gambled through your original set limit, bail out. Leave, whether it’s on the net or at a brick and mortar casino, do not stay around. Always remember, there is going to be another day, another time.

Always remember, betting should be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan not afford the cost, do not even start.
